Fish Varuval

This is the simplest non-vegetarian dish which can be done in few minutes. Fish with skin would be good for frying. Vanjiram's taste can be imitated by using cat fish. Fish cut into thin slices enhaces the flavor!
Ingredients
Fish - 1 pound, cut into thin slices (Cat fish / Vanjiram / Rainbow trout / Tilapia / Nethili)
Ginger & Garlic Paste - 1 teaspoon
Chilli Powder - 2 teaspoon (or according to your taste)
Corn flour - 1 teaspoon
Salt
Oil - 2 teaspoons
For frying
Oil - 1/2 cup (corn / vegetable / peanut)Procedure
1. Mix the contents listed under ingredients without adding water (water from ginger/garlic paste would be enough).
2. Clean the fish with cold water and drain them completely (fish should be completely dry).
3. Coat fish with mixed content and marinate it for about 1/2 hour.
4. Heat 1/2 cup oil in a Kadai (fish should be seen above the oil, it shouldn't soak).
5. Add fish pieces one by one and deep fry them, turning sides (care should be taken not to break them).

Serve with: Rice & Rasam / Rice & Fish Kuzhambu / Rice & Sambar / Rice & Chicken Kuzhambu
